Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a "unicorn" to join our team: a professional who is both a seasoned Software Architect and a top-tier Software Developer.
In this role, you will act as the bridge between architectural theory and practical automation. You won't just define architectures; you will build the engines that make them possible. You will execute the technical vision for our toolchain, writing the code that automates our requirements and architecture processes, ensuring our teams can work faster and with higher quality.
If you know AUTOSAR inside and out, but you prefer writing Python code to optimize workflows rather than sitting in meetings, this is the role for you.

Company Overview:
Stellantis is a leading global automaker and mobility provider that offers clean, connected, affordable and safe mobility solutions. Our Company's strength lies in the breadth of our iconic brand portfolio, the diversity and passion of our people, and our deep roots in the communities in which we operate. Our ambitious electrification and software strategies and the creation of an innovative ecosystem of strategic, game-changing partnerships are driving our transformation to a sustainable mobility tech company.
The driving force behind us is the diverse and talented group of men and women around the world who bring their passion and experience to their work every day.

MAIN ACTIVITIES
Job Responsibilities include:
• Technical Execution & Tool Development: Act as the technical owner and lead developer for our internal automation toolchain. You will design, code, test, and maintain robust applications and scripts (primarily in Python) that serve as the backbone of our development process.
· Automation of Architecture: Develop complex tools such as ARXML generators and parsers, data validators, and consistency checkers to automate manual architectural tasks.
· Process Optimization: Analyze existing architecture and requirements workflows to identify bottlenecks. Propose technical improvements and implement automation solutions that streamline the day-to-day work of our architects.
· Domain Application: Leverage your deep understanding of AUTOSAR (Classic and Adaptive) to ensure our tools produce compliant, high-quality architectural artifacts.
· Network Integration: Ensure our tooling correctly handles and optimizes for key automotive network protocols, including Ethernet, SOME/IP, CAN, and LIN.
· Technical Leadership: Serve as the team's subject matter expert on tool implementation. Provide mentorship on coding best practices, conduct code reviews, and guide the technical quality of our automation projects.
· Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with Software Architects, Systems Engineers, and Software Developers to gather technical requirements for new tools and drive the adoption of the solutions you build.

Profile

Basic Qualifications:
• · The "Hybrid" Profile: Proven professional experience functioning as both a Software Architect and a Software Developer. You must understand the domain and have the coding skills to build tools for it.
· Expert Python Skills: Advanced proficiency in Python development (scripting, tool creation, data manipulation). You write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
· Deep AUTOSAR Knowledge: Extensive practical experience with AUTOSAR Classic and Adaptive platforms, including configuration and methodology.
· Data Exchange Formats: Hands-on experience programmatically generating, parsing, and validating ARXML.
· Network Protocol Mastery: Strong understanding of automotive communication protocols: Ethernet, SOME/IP, CAN, and LIN.
· Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:
· C/C++ Experience: Proficiency in C or C++ is a strong nice-to-have, enabling deeper analysis of generated code and legacy systems.
· DevOps Familiarity: Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines (Team City, Github Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.) for internal tools.
· Tooling APIs: Experience working with APIs for common automotive tools (e.g., Vector PREEvision, DaVinci, and requirements tools like DOORS Next Generation).
