Job Description – Smart Digital Cockpit Software

Roles: SW Architect

Education:
• Engineering - BE / BTech / ME / MTech / MS
• Discipline – Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Computer, Electrical & Electronics

Experience: 12-15 years+

Responsibilities:
• Define and own Software architecture definitions for Smart cockpit Software product.
• Analyze system requirements, work with requirements team to define Software requirements.
• Define interfaces and bring alignment wrt to APIs and architecture across multiple software development groups.
• Select and evaluate the appropriate technology stack, tools, and platforms
• Conduct proofs-of-concept (PoCs) for technologies choices and architecture choices to validate their feasibility and performance.
• Own up Software architecture design reviews and associated code reviews.
• Define and ensure the architecture meets critical non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, security, reliability, maintainability, and testability specific to an automotive/cockpit system
• Facilitate research, design, development, and engineering skill development for the team.
• Technical Supervision of engineers, contractors, interns and external partners in the team.
• Develop a culture of collaboration, diversity and inclusion.
• Willing to take action and drive results.

Profile

Core Skills:
• Strong programming skills in C/C++/Java/Kotlin/Python
• Software design and implementation experience in an object-oriented environment
• Knowledge on Automotive SOCs and Microcontrollers
• Experience with hypervisor hosted multi operating system based automotive cockpit system.
• Experience with Android framework and HAL layers
• Experience with Power Moding, Diagnostics, Variant management.
• Experience with operating systems like Linux, Android, QNX, other RTOSs
• Experience with communication network protocols like Ethernet, SomeIP, CAN
• Experience with communication interfaces like Ethernet, UART, SPI, USB
• Experience with SCM tools such as: Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, JIRA, ALM
• Experience with debugging using relevant tools such as GDB, JTAG-Debugger, BDI, Lauterbach, ADB, logs
• Experience with performance profiling tools
• Knowledge on Functional Safety and ASPICE processes
• Knowledge on software quality standards and Test-Driven Development
• Proven ability working in Agile Scrum environment
• Good team player with great communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and motivation to work in a dynamic, fast paced, multitasking environment.

Specialization:

• Deep knowledge of defining and designing automotive cockpit system.
• Deep knowledge in defining and designing system wide software architecture including but not limited to Software error detection and recovery, System partitioning, Variant management, Lifecycle management, System Performance monitoring and optimization, OTA upgrades, Logging and Tracing, data communication internal to an ECU and with external ECUs & Cloud, Cyber security.
• Deep Knowledge of Automotive Android and how to extend the same for new use cases.
• Deep knowledge of Automotive CAN and Ethernet topologies and protocol.
• Deep knowledge of hypervisor-based virtualization and isolation.
• Deep knowledge of content sharing across multiple operating systems and multiple displays
• Deep knowledge of content projection from consumer electronics devices into multiple displays
• Working knowledge of Adaptive AUTOSAR based system.
• Experience with managing suppliers and algorithm vendors (Technical and Product Management skills).
