This team works with internal & external stakeholders to guarantee Stellantis' supply of raw materials at the best economic conditions under Social & Environmental responsibility (ESG), driving the transition to a Zero Carbon footprint.

The Sustainability team is responsible to:
• Define and lead the Raw Materials life cycle analysis strategy – in particular CNZ (Carbon Net Zero) in 2038,
• Define and lead the Global ESG strategy for all Raw Materials

For the full Raw Materials value chain (ex : mining, smelting, refining…), under the leadership of the ESG leader and in close connection with the business development, the technical engineering team and the geophysicists / geologists, the Mining Process engineer leader will
• For each critical Raw Materials (Nickel, Cobalt, Lithium…), analyze the ore value chain to qualify the Environment impacts (water, CO2, waste, impact on local communities, mine closure…)
• Be part of the M&A (Merge & Acquisition) project to assess the processes efficiency and their ESG impacts
• Analyze the environmental implications of particular mining processes.
• Analyze the Environment quotations done either from Raw Material suppliers, or external companies
• Manage and oversee contractors and their work
• Deliver pertinent feedback and insight to management through regular meetings
• Keep abreast of new and emerging mining process technologies (including water management, decarbonation,…)
• Support Technical Raw Materials team to assess the Raw Materials qualification
• Organize & deliver trainings to the full Raw Materials team
• Represent the Company in working groups and communicate on the discipline during international congresses

Profil

• Analytical thinker
• Self-motivated, energetic, and proactive
• Communication skills to work with company personnel at all levels of the organization
• Synthesis skills for decision support
• Confidence in verbally delivering and presenting information to relevant stakeholders, including the ability to translate complex data into terms readily understood across varying levels (e.g. team, senior managers, and/or partners)
• Ability to work inside cross-functional teams (engineering / purchasing / finance…)
Technical Skills

• Minimum of five (5) years of higher education in Engineering
• Knowledge of sustainability and social value topics (including safety codes, standards, and procedures)
• Familiarity with environmental regulations
• Ability to analyze and challenge reports by subcontractors or Raw Materials suppliers.
• Ability to write accurate reports on data collection and analysis.
• International experience appreciated.
• Fluent English
Critical Skills

• Five (5) to ten (10) years' experience in Process Engineering (mining & transformation)
• Good practical understanding of mining methods / Familiarity with major process equipment and suppliers
• Knowledge of environmental impact of mining methods (extraction and refining)
