One of Stellantis' IP department groups, VATD (Valorization, Agreements, Trademarks and Designs), handles IP (co-ownerships, licenses, M&A, etc.) and Technology (consortium, PhDs, NDA, etc.) agreements. This team is seeking an IP Counsel with contract drafting and negotiation experience to strengthen its activity.

The position is located in the Paris area (3 days onsite in Poissy, occasional visits to offices in Velizy), with 2 days remote working.

The Role Comprises The Following Tasks
Provide advice and support to clients, particularly to Engineering, Technology Research and Business Development teams, on:

• Proof of concept agreements with start-ups, agreements involving universities (PhDs, consortium, NDA, etc.), strategic partnership agreements, master cooperation agreements, MOU's, NDA's
• All IP contractual matters, especially when they are complex, involve sensitive technology, or are of strategic importance to the company, in collaboration with the lead lawyers on the case (JV projects, OEM development partnerships, parts purchase contract, etc.).
• Monitor IP in the purchasing strategy (GTC and contract templates managed by the purchasing department).
• Support the IP team when dealing with:
• Copyright issues: AI, design protection, FOSS, etc.
• Industrial Property agreements: co-ownerships, transfer/change of name records in front of IP offices, etc
• More rarely, support with IP litigation & lobby topics

Profil

Profile
x Master Degree in intellectual property law, preferably confirmed by the bar (CRFPA/CAPA)
x Experience as an IP lawyer (private practice and/or in-house), with the ability to handle a broad range of legal matters, draft and negotiate contracts and input on M&A, strategic partnerships, or EU funding
x No fear to dive in engineering topics if needed
x Excellent synthesis and writing skills in both English and French
