JOB DESCRIPTION
At Stellantis, we are building the next generation of software-defined vehicles. The SW Architecture team designs software platforms and ECU architectures that power modern vehicles, enabling advanced features, scalability, and continuous software evolution.
As a Software Architecture Engineer, you will work on real-world embedded systems and contribute to next-generation vehicle platforms. You will collaborate with experienced architects and engineers, gaining hands-on experience in designing and integrating large-scale automotive software systems, while helping shape the software foundation of High-Performance Computers (HPC) and Zonal Control Units (ZCU).
We are looking for engineers passionate about embedded systems and modern software platforms, excited to learn, grow, and contribute to the development of next-generation automotive software architectures.
Curiosity, collaboration, and a continuous learning mindset are key to success in this role. The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in embedded software and a interest in modern automotive platforms such as AUTOSAR (Classic and Adaptive), Linux, QNX, and Android, and you are motivated to build your skills in a fast-evolving environment.
In this position, you will have the opportunity to learn from experienced engineers and contribute to the development of scalable, high-quality software platforms that will power the next generation of vehicles.
MAIN ACTIVITIES
Job Responsibilities include:
•Contribute to the design of the SW Requirements and Architecture for High-Performance Computer (HPC) and Zone Control Unit (ZCU), across all layers (drivers, middleware, frameworks, and communication protocols)
•Support the definition of HPC/ZCU key system functionalities such as start-up/shut-down, fault detection, Hypervisor configuration, virtual machine interaction, power, thermal, and resource management
•Contribute to the definition and tracking of system KPIs and resource allocation (RAM, Flash, CPU, GPU, NPU) across software releases
•Participate in technical discussions and architecture reviews, contributing to performance, reliability, and maintainability improvements
•Contribute to the design and evolution of Base Software (BSW) architecture and platform components across vehicle programs
•Support the development of scalable and maintainable software platforms for next-generation ECUs
•Collaborate closely with Hardware Architects and Base Software teams to define software requirements and architecture
•Work with application software architects to support the integration of applications into HPC and ZCU platforms
