Description de la mission

Context :
Within Stellantis Motorsport, you will be assisting the Track engineer group in the scope of a 6-month internship. Working closely with race and performance engineers, you will actively participate in designing and implementing data analysis scripts to support event preparation and accelerate post-event processing.
Throughout the internship, you will gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge motorsport technology, acquiring valuable skills in data analysis, teamwork, and event preparation. This opportunity will enhance your understanding of the performance and operational development of the Peugeot 9x8 race car competing in the World Endurance Championship, preparing you for a future career in motorsport engineering.
Main tasks :
• Develop a comprehensive tool for managing race event tire usage with the following features:
o Calculate optimal cold pressures based on atmospheric and track conditions
o Define tire usage strategies according to stock and race plans
• Optimize car weight distribution based on targets and hardware options
• Provide analysis tools for efficient post-event data processing.

Profil

Competences :
• (Mechanical) Engineering degree final year (BAC+5)
• Familiar with programming (Matlab simulink, Excel VBA…)
• Very good English level (C1 minimum)
• Interest in motorsport is a plus but not necessary
Soft skills:
• Meticulous
• Being able to present results and reasons for choices in clear and logical way
• Team player and good communication skills
• Scientific and analytical approach to problems
• Pro-active and keen to propose new ideas
