Stellantis' IP department plays an active role in protecting these innovations and brands. One of Stellantis' IP department groups, VATD (Valorization, Agreements, Trademarks and Designs), handles trademark and design acquisition, as well as all IP enforcement/licensing matters (mostly patents and trademarks). This team is seeking a Senior Trademark Counsel to strengthen its activity, with a short-term perspective to manage the team.

The position is located in France (Poissy and Velizy), with a significant amount of remote working (up to 15 days a month).
 
Responsibilities:
- Advise marketing on the availability of signs.
- Manage the acquisition of trademarks and designs, handling trademark prosecution (registration, revocation, oppositions, etc.) directly (EUIPO and INPI/DPMA/UIBM) or indirectly (other offices).
- Draft, negotiate and review contracts (patent/trademark licenses, NDAs, etc.) with a pragmatic approach (automation and templates).
- Provide counsel in the field of trademarks, contracts, antitrust, design, domain names or copyrights.
- Rely on an entrepreneurial mindset to build, execute and communicate a strategy focused on maximizing Stellantis' brand equity.
- Advocate for Stellantis' interest in IP-related fields (EU regulations/directives on Standard Essential Patents, Designs, etc.).
- Handle pre-litigation and litigation matters (surveillance and management of actions).

The ideal candidate will possess the ability and desire to effectively manage a team of highly skilled counsels and paralegals.

Profil

- Master's Degree in intellectual property law.
- Qualification as TM attorney (EUIPO).
- 10 years of experience as a trademark counsel and/or as an attorney-at-law, ideally including a management experience.
- No fear of diving into engineering topics if needed.
- Excellent synthesis and writing skills in both English and French.
- Ideally, skills in Italian and/or German.
