The CE supports Global Chief Engineer in oversighting and executing core programs and guarantees all deliverables requested from and negotiated with the customer over the project development: cost, time to market, fuel economy, performances, emissions, NVH, packaging, etc.

Accountabilities
-Oversight of all aspects of the assigned product (hardware, packaging, builds, validation, ED&D, DVPR,, Design Change Requests, etc)
-Coordination of technical departments involved in project target achievement
-Technical Interface to Vehicle & PT Integration, AME, Purchasing, EE Core, ePT, Controls, Calibration, Quality, Suppliers and EE Systems
-Ensure procedures and methodologies application according to required standards and lead project documentation creation, monitoring and updating.
-Ensure best practices and lessons learned are used and properly shared across the engine family
-Leads engineering teams to deliver prototype & production batches that meet vehicle / program requirements
-Review, approve and track the System DVP&R and supports the development of the component DVP&Rs
-Co-leads proactive Risk Management tasks with QRE Team (i.e. DFMEAs, DFSS, LUR, Reliability Demonstration) and track/lead resolution of all GIMs
-Leads the technical reviews/evaluations and technical specification sign-offs. (Design Reviews)
-Leads the technical responses to investigate/action bulletins that relate to the technology.
-Support releases of Product Book updates and International Product Specification documents
-Coordinate release of required technical information to support approval of required Compliance Procedure and Compliance Reports
-Coordination of Technical Cost Reductions (TCRs)

•In-depth knowledge of injection system components and their operation
•In-depth knowledge of electrohydraulic systems
•In-depth knowledge of materials
•In-depth knowledge of internal combustion engines regulations
Management Knowledge
•Understanding of company functions and their roles in the product development process
•In-depth knowledge of requirements for industrialization of engine components and related internal processes
•In-depth knowledge of internal change management processes
•In-depth knowledge of product traceability standards
•In-depth knowledge of Part Production Approval Process
