Your mission
As a Chief System Architect within the End-to-End architecture group, you will be responsible for the overall architecture of the Cloud automotive services system.
This system groups all cloud functionalities related to automotive services: OTA (over-the-air) updates, data collect and storage, remote features (access, climate…), communication, user and vehicle authorization…
You will have technical oversight of all contributing domains and functions.

Your job will be, for your features, to drive the trade-offs leading to best-in-class system architecture:
• Ensuring comprehensive identification of all stakeholders needs (product, plant, aftersales, regulation…)
• Performing feasibility studies.
• Targeting reuse and cost optimization.
• Guaranteeing end to end consistency of all on-board and off-board systems, for all use cases.
• Guaranteeing compliance and safety.

As part of your mission, you will facilitate a fast, iterative and continuous flow from product to design, dev & deployment.

You will leverage and support deployment of SW-defined vehicles, accelerating shipment of new features to customers through OTA (over-the-air) updates.

You will promote state-of-the art methodologies and tools (process digitalization, model-based design, digital twins…).


You are passionate and willing to become proficient in several automotive technology domains, from mechatronic systems (steering, powertrain, lighting…) to digital (infotainment, mobile, cloud…).

You are a natural cross functional leader, creating a spirit of collaboration and openness.

You can lead negotiation with experts from several domains to reach the best overall trade-off.

You can summarize and explain complex multidisciplinary topics to executives, driving the best decision for the company.

You are eager to continuously learn about new technologies and improve our ways of working.

You're happy to work in a global environment, with different cultures and different time zones.

Profil

Basic Qualifications:

• Master's degree in applied physics, Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace or Computer Engineering
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in a complex industrial or IT context (aerospace, defense, telecommunications, tech).
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in connected features development: OTA, data…
• Demonstrated ability to apply the V-model process: needs elicitation, system architecture &design, implementation, integration, validation…
• Demonstrated competency in Systems Architecture: operational architecture, use case definition, functional architecture, allocation, configuration management, requirements engineering…
• Knowledge of embedded/real-time electronics and SW, network communications (CAN, Ethernet…) AND/OR knowledge of cloud and mobile developments.
• Experience in Agile development approaches: SaFe, scrum…
• Ability to see the big picture and main stakes in complex problems.
• Good negotiation skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding of Functional and System related standards (esp. ISO26262).
• Knowledge of Model-based systems engineering (MBSE, SysML)
• Knowledge of System simulation methods (MIL, SIL,..)
• Knowledge of SW development methods (CI/CD, DevOps, Service-oriented architecture…)
