Job description
MISSION
As Health & Safety Coordinator, you will act as RSPP (Responsabile del Servizio di Prevenzione e Protezione) for Maserati Central Functions and Engineering entities.
Your mission is to protect people, workplaces and the environment by ensuring full compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental regulations, monitoring EHS performance, and continuously improving management systems.
You will work closely with production, engineering and central staff, supporting daily operations, advising leadership on risks, and fostering a strong, proactive safety culture.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Promote a strong Health & Safety culture, engaging employees, supervisors and leaders at all levels.
• Coordinate and perform risk assessments (DVR and specific risk assessments for Maserati entities) and safety audits and inspections of workplaces, machinery and equipment
• Investigate incidents, near misses and non-conformities, identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Act as key interface with external authorities (e.g. AUSL, INAIL).
• Ensure correct adoption and use of safety procedures and protective equipment.
• Monitor and manage H&S performance indicators (TRIR, LTIR, leading and lagging indicators) in line with internal WHS standards.
• Maintain and update the Fire Prevention Certificate, coordinating with the internal Fire Brigade team to assess and implement safety measures.
• Support mandatory training on safety, PPE, procedures and safe behaviors.
• Identify and define appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) based on risk assessments.
• Contribute to the development of WHS training programs for all organizational levels.
• Promote engagement initiatives such as safety talks, wellbeing activities and Health & Safety conversations, fostering a “just culture” and proactive reporting.
• Prepare internal communications, awareness materials and campaigns on Health & Safety topics.
• Support and conduct internal audits and update procedures and documentation to maintain H&S and environmental management systems, including ISO 14001 certification.
• Prepare documentation for external bodies, corporate functions and global systems (e.g. SPARC) related to corrective actions, CTA and global safety topics.
• Monitor the annual Health & Safety plan, tracking objectives, KPIs, improvement actions and wellbeing initiatives.
Profile
• Solid knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental regulations (e.g. Italian Legislative Decree 81/08, environmental permits, waste management).
• Experience with risk assessment methodologies.
• Understanding of industrial processes and related risks (machinery, ergonomics, chemical agents, hazardous energies).
• Degree in Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering, Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• RSPP qualification (Modules A–B–C).
• ISO Auditor qualifications are considered a plus.
• Strong communication skills, able to engage effectively at all organizational levels.
• Leadership and influencing skills to promote safe behaviors.
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset, with a data-driven approach (KPIs, root cause analysis).
• Hands-on attitude and ability to work closely with production, engineering and maintenance teams.
