Job description
MISSION
As a Commodity Buyer, you'll own sourcing, negotiations, and supplier performance for a defined set of direct‑material commodities.
You'll work cross‑functionally (Engineering, Programs, Supplier Quality, Risk Management, Finance, Cost Engineering) to secure the best total value and keep our supply chain resilient and competitive.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Contribute to the Commodity Strategy for your perimeter.
Prepare and manage RFQs aligned to the approved bidlist.
• Lead supplier evaluations and present sourcing recommendations in decision meetings.
• Draft and manage Purchase Agreements and related contract execution.
• Drive supplier performance (quality, logistics, capacity, development).
• Manage escalations on quality, logistics, or obsolescence when needed.
• Prepare, manage, and execute resourcing activities.
• Deliver purchasing performance using the full lever set: commercial conditions (incl. claims), Monozokuri, Value O ptimization (VO), and raw‑material indexation/optimization.
• Coordinate business reviews with suppliers and ensure accurate POs, amendments, and reporting (e.g., performance roadmap).
Profile
• 2–5 years in Purchasing/Procurement/Supply Chain (preferably Direct Material).
• Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Law, or related field.
• Strong cost analysis, negotiation, and supplier relationship skills.
• Solid understanding of automotive products/technologies.
• Proactive, results‑driven, able to work autonomously and partner cross‑functionally.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Excel/Word/PowerPoint.
• English C1 (additional languages are a plus).
