Job description

The research and engineering division (RD2) prepares the next generation of the upper level vehicles of Groupe PSA. Particularly, in the area of the automation, it designs the functions that will allow gradually to delegate the driving to the vehicle itself.

Inside the DQI, the EE direction through the ADAS direction designs, develops and validates the components of the autonomous vehicle: RADAR, LIDAR, camera, Ultrasonic system, ABS, ESC, Lighting, …

To reinforce the software development team, Groupe PSA recruits a SW quality and safety engineer. The SW quality and safety engineer has to define the standards and tools. He supports the SW team to apply it and checks the application.

His main activities are:
• Management of the SW quality for the domain, applying the relevant technical policy: definition, building, application, KPI and dashboard
• Management of the SW safety for the domain, applying the ISO 26262 standard
• Assure the coordination of all the people involved
• Assure the link with the quality and safety departments of the EE direction
• Quality and safety follow-up of the sub-contractors
• Taking part in the SW quality and safety audits
• Writing the quality documentation for the domain
• Building the SW risks analysis (functional analysis, FMEA, code review, safety specification review)
• Taking part in the writing of the SW engineering processes


• Bachelor's degree in engineering (safety management is a plus)
• Minimum 6 years of experience in an industrial environment (ideally in the automotive industry), including 2 years as SW safety engineer
• Experience in design and development (C++ code, Matlab knowledge is a plus)
• Experience with SPICE and CMMI in an automotive domain
• Fluent in english (BRIGHT B2 or 3.5)
• Good abilities for analysis and synthesis
